Using a tilt in space style mechanism the seat and backrest section of the chair are one thus there is no hip movement when reclining and when the chair lifts into the standing position the chair lifts then slightly tilts the person forward.

The backrest is quite high giving excellent head support and is contoured with three pillow rolls that are fully adjustable to be firmer or softer.
